Wine Wednesday: Grape Creek 2022 Ser-en-dip-i-ty

The 2022 Serendipity is a very understated wine. The rose water aroma is even stronger this year than it was in the 2021. The flavor of rose is there, as well--again, almost to the exclusion of everything else. Although there may be hints of cedar and baking spices. The label calls it "an interesting red wine"  and I can find very little to add to that. It's a dark, soft-bodied wine. I think it would pair well with an interesting pasta dish--maybe a lemon-ricotta agnolotti dish. Or, being as this is Texas, after all, a nice smoked brisket.

It's very much a sit-outside-by-the-river-after-dark-and-watch-the-stars kind of wine. There's a hint of toasted oak that makes me think it would pair well with s'mores. It's the kind of wine that makes you sorry that you cancelled your membership. Because, damn.

If you'd like to read my thoughts on the 2021 Ser-en-dip-i-ty, you can find that blog post HERE

There's not a lot of wine in A Sight to Dream Of (Oberon, book 2) but it's available as a FREE download for the next few weeks, so be sure and check it out!https://books.bookfunnel.com/OberonFirstFour
