IWaiting For The Big One, Gabby and Derek went from being friends to being lovers. Now, they're waiting for their "big day". But will it be the wedding of their dreams? Or a bride's worst nightmare?

A quick trip to Gabby's hometown turns into the wedding from hell when Gabby and Derek are plagued by hailstorms, lost reservations, voracious goats, angry bees and enough family drama to fill a barn.

Romance Writers Weekly ~ Tattoos! ~ #LoveChatWrite

Welcome to another week, on the Romance Writers Weekly blog hop! Today's prompt is: "If you were to get a tattoo, what would it say or what would the graphic be? And where would you put it on your body?"

Wow. Has that ship ever sailed! I have multiple tattoos--almost an entire sleeve covering my left arm, plus half-a-dozen others scattered across my body.

My first was small and located on my ankle--every discreet. The second was also small and located on my upper arm/shoulder. Somewhat less discreet. All the rest were given to me by my son who's a FABULOUS artist.

A lot of my tattoos reference various of my books--roses for Scent of the Roses, steampunk gears for This Winter Heart, an oak branch for OAK, etc. I think my favorite is a pair I designed myself. The one on the back of my left wrist says "Once upon a time..."  The one on my right wrist says, "Happily ever after."

They're positioned just where I can see them when I'm typing, and they represent the beginning and end of every story I write. The rest of the story lies between them--ie within me.

Now, hop on over to Jenna Da Sie's page to learn what her views are on tattoos!

Inked Memories

Every memory leaves its mark...

All Sophie wants is a tattoo to commemorate her battle with cancer. What she gets is celebrity tattoo artist Declan Ross, the same sexy bad-boy who, once-upon-a-time, used to rock her world.

With his hit television show on hiatus, Declan is back in the Big Easy. A charity event at Midnight Ink, the shop where he got his start, seems like the perfect opportunity to use his celebrity status to publicize a good cause...and just maybe improve his own image in the process. The last thing he's expecting, or thinks he needs, is a chance meeting with the girl he left behind.

Last time they were together, Declan was the one who was damaged. This time, they've both got scars; and those you can't see are the hardest to cover.

Romance Writers Weekly ~ Saturday Morning ~ #LoveChatWrite

Welcome to another week, on the Romance Writers Weekly blog hop! Today's prompt is: "It’s Saturday morning. What’s the first thing you do when you wake up? Is there a routine to this day?"

Hmm. Interesting question. If my grandson is staying with us for the weekend then Saturday morning will likely involve his helping me to make either pancakes. Or waffles, depending on which he's in the mood for. But that's more a ritual than a routine.

There was a time, not so long ago, when Saturday mornings often meant driving downtown for breakfast at a local restaurant and a wander through the farmers' market. That was a fun routine! Where I live now, however, the best farmers' market takes place on Wednesday afternoons, so that's .

Pretty much the first things I do every morning is let my dogs out and make coffee.

Now, hop on over to Leslie Hachtel's page to learn what kind of morning routine she has! And don't forget to check out her book Hannah's War.

Set in the Civil War, Hannah Mason has spent the last two years of her life with an emotionally abusive husband. Running away, her destination is Nashville.

She becomes a nurse and travels with the army to various battlefields, war raging all around her. But her greatest fear is that her husband will find her.

Can Hannah free herself from a vicious man and find love with Lucas, the doctor who can heal her heart?

Romance Writers Weekly ~ Research! ~ #LoveChatWrite

This week, on the Romance Writers Weekly blog hop, we're asked the question: "How much research do you do for your novels? Do you stick to facts or do you massage them to fit the needs of your story?"

Great question! I LOVE research. I've ended up in so many rabbit holes researching the obscure and esoteric! It's always fun...or frustrating when the facts don't fit the story you're trying to tell.

I try to stay realistic, but that's not always possible. For example, Brexit has been playing havoc with a story I'd planned out several years ago. Certain EU details don't work anymore, and I've had to change a lot of my character's backstory to fit!

Now, hop on over to Jenna Da Sie's page and learn how she approaches research.

In the dark streets of the city, immortal vampire kings stalk the shadows. Centuries of power have built their empires, but nothing can slake their thirst for blood—or passion.

A vampire’s fated mate brings them new powers, but before they revel in their new power they first face even greater weakness, which only a few survive and even less are willing to try.

For those few mates who are brave enough to give into the dangerous allure of a vampire mate, they will break all laws of society to be with their true loves but most immortal bloodlines are centuries deep. Is their love enough to break the curse? Only time will tell...
